Butterfly Museum Visit in Benalmadena, Malaga
ITT is taking a trip to the butterfly park located in Benalmadena, Malaga. In this spectacular Thai temple, you can walk among more than 1,500 exotic butterflies from around the world, flying freely in a tropical paradise between waterfalls and flowers. You will be able to observe how they are born, how they reporoduce and enjoy learning many things about these wonderful insects.
This 2000 square meter complex has its climate carefully controlled with the temperature set between 75-84 degrees farehnheit and around 80 percent humidity. Seventy percent of the specimens in the park are self-produced and the remaining thirty percent are imported from their country of origin. Almost every day, a new specimen is born, visitors can watch as the butterflies break out of their cocoons and spread their colorful wings for the first time. Most species of butterflies have an average life expectancy of two weeks. This means that the park’s population is renewed every 14 days.
The trip includes transportation, entrance to the butterfly museum, and some free time to visit the Buddhist temple and Puerto Marina in the town of Benalmadena.
