Roman Ruins Visit in Merida

ITT will give you this opportunity and take you to Mérida, capital of Extremadura, once also capital of the Roman province of Lusitania (as Emerita Augusta, founded 25 BC) and is home to the most impressive and extensive Roman ruins in all Spain. The ruins lie sprinkled around town, often appearing in the most unlikely corners, and one can only wonder what still lies buried beneath the lively, modern city.

The trip includes transportation, guided visit of some ruins, entrance to the following historical-archeological complex: “ Teatro y Anfiteatro Romanos, Alcazaba, Casa del Mitreo y Área Funeraria de los Columbarios, Cripta Arqueológica de Santa Eulalia, Área Arqueológica de Morería y Circo Romano”, and some free time.
