AREA OF CONSIDERATION:

US Citizens who have a command sponsorship attached to USNSE Lisbon.

INTRODUCTION:

This position is located within MWR in USN Lisbon. The incumbent is involved in one or more recreational activities such as military or community activities; youth activities; outdoor recreation; the Marina/Fishing Piers, ITT Office, Fitness/Athletics and sports programs, and /or other similar MWR recreational services.

DUTIES:

Incumbent is assigned to USNSE Lisbon. Incumbent assists in the operation of the recreation activities. Provides oversight of activities and necessary services to authorized patrons, including general information on the use of equipment. Ensures adherence to regulations and safety procedures. Monitors and checks the security of premises. May assist in maintain routine reports and/or perform clerical, custodial and/or general maintenance duties as needed. May operate a cash register, receive payments and make change.

Performs other related duties assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualification Requirements: Six (6) months of general experience OR one (1) year of education above high school.

General Experience: any type of work that demonstrates the applicant’s ability to perform the work of the position.

To ensure appropriate credit for education, please attach copies of transcripts, certificates or other acceptable evidence to your application.

Incumbent must be able to maintain a valid CPR and FIRST AID Certifications. Must be able to learn MWR policies, rules and regulations involving the work area, and have the ability to communicate orally and in writing. Must have knowledge of basic mathematics.

DRIVER LICENSE would be preferred.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • This position requires successful completion of: Local Background Investigation and NACI Background.

  • Selected applicant will not lose any entitlement for future spouse preference eligibility (NAF/GS positions)

  • Selected is subject to direct deposit of pay

  • Persons who are US Citizens and also citizens of Portugal are not employable in a US Position.

  • If selected, military personnel must provide this office with written authorization from their command to work during off-duty hours.

  • NATO SOFA and Agreement on Defense Cooperation (ADC) between Spain and the United States are applicable when determining eligibility.
