Rota Animal Welfare League

The Rota Animal Welfare League (RAWL) is an all-volunteer animal shelter located on Naval Station Rota. Since 1989 RAWL has worked to assist the American military community here at Rota; whether helping those who can no longer care for their pet or connecting people with animals in need of homes, we are dedicated to providing better lives for the dogs and cats in our care.

RAWL Adoption

If you are interested in adopting a dog or cat from RAWL, please visit our Facebook page or contact us via email to learn more about our available animals.

Volunteer at RAWL

RAWL is staffed entirely by volunteers and we always need more! To become a volunteer you must attend an orientation at the RAWL building. Orientations are held the first and third Wednesdays of every month, or by appointment. For more information, or if you are interested joining the RAWL board, please contact us at rawlpets@gmail.com

Assist RAWL

RAWL is entirely volunteer-run and donation-based; we are only able to function due to the generosity of the Rota community. If you would like to help us help animals we are always looking for supplies: dog food (wet/dry), cat food (wet/dry), cat litter, toys for our dogs and cats, and other necessities are graciously welcomed. All food donations must be unopened. We also accept monetary donations either in cash or via PayPal or Navy Federal (rawlpets@gmail.com).
