Fitness Center
The MWR Fitness Center at Naval Station Rota, Spain offers comprehensive fitness facilities, programs, and services designed to support mission readiness, personal wellness, and lifelong health for eligible patrons.
Whether you’re training for the Navy Physical Readiness Test (PRT), participating in group fitness classes, or pursuing personal fitness goals, the Fitness Center provides the equipment, space, and professional support you need.
Eligibility & Access Requirements
100% ID check enforced
Eligible patrons include:

Eligible Spanish military personnel and dependents (18+)

Authorized base civilians meeting Spanish protocol criteria

Youth must present a Youth Certification Card

24-hour access sign-ups are available up to 30 minutes prior to unmanned hours

The MWR Personal Training Program provides individualized, one-on-one coaching tailored to your fitness goals, including:

All MWR Personal Trainers are professionally certified and trained in CPR, First Aid, AED, and the Navy Fitness Certification Program.

Navy Physical Readiness Program (PRT) Updates
The Navy Physical Readiness Program has introduced new fitness events aligned with the Culture of Excellence, enhancing Sailor readiness and injury prevention.
New PRT Events Include:

2,000-meter row (alternate cardio option)
Service Members medically cleared for the Physical Fitness Assessment will complete:
