AREA OF CONSIDERATION:
U. S. citizens in the commuting area who are authorized sponsors or command-sponsored dependents of civilian and military personnel.
DUTIES:
This position is located at Central Cashier, Support Services Division, Fleet Readiness Department, Rota, Spain.
Collects and issues money bags, cash funds, and sub-custody receipts from Sales Associate/Cashiers. Maintains log record of movement of money bags and cash funds issued. Prepares bank deposits of cash receipts and makes change funds for cash registers. Cashes payroll and money orders for authorized patrons, assuring that proper identification is provided. Receives, counts and verifies monies received with daily cash reports. Prepares coversheet by register, amount and register number with Daily Reports, as required. Operates package machines in connection with the counting and wrapping of coins and currency for change machines. Maintains appropriate logs as necessary. Performs other related duties as assigned.

This position requires successful completion of: physical examination, Local Background Investigation and NACI Background.

Persons who are US Citizens and persons who are US Citizens and also citizens of Spain are not employable in a US Position.

If selected, military personnel must provide this office with written authorization from their command to work during off-duty hours.

NATO SOFA and Agreement on Defense Cooperation (ADC) between Spain and the United States are applicable when determining eligibility.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualification Requirements: Six (6) months of general experience OR one (1) year of education above high school.
General Experience: any type of work that demonstrates the applicant’s ability to perform the work of the position.
Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures, be familiar with currency and negotiability requirements, and be able to operate cash register. Knowledge of business mathematics and routine office procedures.
