AREA OF CONSIDERATION:

US Citizens in the local commuting area that are: current permanent NAF/APF employees, spouses or family members of Active Duty Military members, or spouses or family members of DoD Civilian Employees.

INTRODUCTION:

This position is located at Pizza Villa within the Business Activities Division, at MWR Department, Rota, Spain. The primary purpose of this position is to operate a cash register, receive payment, take customers’ orders and assist with simple food preparation.

DUTIES:

The incumbent operate a cash register, collect monies, make change, cash checks, sell foreign currency and make slot machine refunds, process credit card transactions. Prepares daily cash sales receipts; responsible for change funds. The employee prepares daily activity report (DAR) at the end of the shift for cash handling accountability. Cashier is responsible for taking payments from customers, making change, and giving receipts. Keeps records of transactions and prepare cash and checks for deposits. Prepare sales reports. Answers the phone, take reservations and serves as hosts by seating patrons. Sells any displayed items at the counter and have front desk duties. Sells tickets to customers and operates ticket dispenser machines.  Prepares foods on tray and containers for serving. Fill cups form drink dispensers or provide bottles or cans of drinks. Prepares simple food as hot dogs, sandwiches, etc. Maintains counter spaces and work area in clean conditions and orderly fashion. Insure spills and or dropped food is removed quickly to prevent safety hazards. Fill condiment dispensers, napkins holders, etc. Clear and clean dining tables and dispose of food waste and trash left on counters or tables. Receives and signs merchandise from warehouse to storage area. Others related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge and understanding guides and regulations to interpret and apply them to a variety of accounting situations. Have to know how a food service operation works. Must be able to read, write and speak English language.

CAR DRIVER LICENSE (CLASS B) IS REQUIRED.

 

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • This position requires successful completion of: physical examination, Local Background Investigation and NACI Background.
  • Selected applicant will not lose any entitlement for future spouse preference eligibility (NAF/GS positions)
  • The incumbent will be required to work nights, weekends, holidays and split shifts
  • Selected is subject to direct deposit of pay
  • Persons who are US Citizens and persons who are US Citizens and also citizens of Spain are not employable in a US Position.
  • NATO SOFA and Agreement on Defense Cooperation (ADC) between Spain and the United States are applicable when determining eligibility.
