Fitness Comments
"There needs to be clear regulations and oversight on how reservations are made and enforced. Right now, it feels exclusive and inconsistent. Please look into this and help restore fair access for everyone."
We Heard You: Fitness Management worked diligently to come up with a plan to accommodate as many different groups as possible. In November, the following comment was received: "Shout out to the management - great job! It really seems like you've listened to the community, and we appreciate the open hours now available at the basketball court. We were lucky to have a visiting ship today, and a lot of players got to enjoy some great pickup games at the gym. Hopefully this marks the beginning of consistent open hours with a solid reservation system in place. Just wanted to say thank you and keep up the good work!"
"Could you replace the filter of the water fountain in the female's bathroom please?"
We Heard You: MWR Maintenance department ordered additional filters and installed them in the female bathroom water fountain.
"Can we have yoga blocks?"
We Heard You: MWR Fitness Management ordered Yoga Blocks and have incorporated them into the facility.
"Can the treadmill and ellipticals be turned around or a mirror placed in front of them in order to see the children without having to break one’s neck? Please!"
We heard You: Fitness Management coordinated the Equipment to be adjusted to a position where parents could much more easily see their children.
"The vending machine has been OOC for way too long. I’ve been here 6 months and I haven’t seen it functional. It is outrageous that this hasn’t been fixed yet."
We Heard You: Removal of the vending machine took place in August 2025 and MWR is coordinating with NEXCOM to replace the machine and include healthy options.
Community Recreation
"Please look at conducting trips on Sundays in addition to Saturdays."
We Heard You: Community Recreation Management scheduled two Sunday trips in the following months.
