AREA OF CONSIDERATION:

These positions are targeted for students 14-18 (still enrolled in high school) years old interested in being considered for temporary employment within Family Readiness (FR) Programs: Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Department and Child and Youth Programs (CYP).  All students MUST be a dependent of a sponsor with command sponsorship; this includes retirees.    

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

This position is located at Fleet and Family Readiness Rota, Spain. The incumbent will be involved in one or more recreational activity such as community activities, youth activities, outdoor recreation, aquatics, or other similar Family Readiness MWR or CYP services or events.

Responsible for providing assistance in the oversight of activities and necessary services to authorized patrons, including general information on the use of facilities and equipment. Assists in the programming, planning and implementation of a variety of recurring and non-recurring activities.

Ensures adherence to regulations and safety procedures and may assist assigned personnel in the monitoring of change funds, theater tickets, etc. May assist in maintaining routine reports and/or perform clerical and/or general maintenance duties as needed.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Incumbent must be 14-18 years of age. Must be able to learn FR, MWR and CYP Policies, rules and regulations involving work areas, and have the ability to communicate orally and in writing. Knowledge of basic mathematics and the purpose of recreational equipment and activities desired. It is recommended applicants attend one of the workshops as outlined below as well.  These workshops are optional.

IMPORTANT: RESUME & INTERVIEW WORKSHOP- January 4th and 11th from 14:15-15:15 pm at the Youth Center. Applicants are welcome to attend one of the above workshops prior to applying.

Applications are available at MWR Personnel Office and Youth Activity Facilities.

Applicants must submit the employment application form and resume to the MWR Personnel Office or email it to personnel@rotamwr.com. Please ensure the application contains the permission slip signed by parents.

Applicants are required to attend the Mass Interview Wednesday, January 17th starting at 1700 at the Youth Center. You must have prior approval from the Teen Coordinator or Youth Director if you cannot attend.  If you do not attend and did not receive prior approval, your application will not be considered. Please, bring multiple copies of your resume to be distributed to the interviewing managers.
